The Temazcal is an ancient purification ceremony practiced in Mesoamerica for thousands of years.. Best defined as a sweat lodge that is lead by a medicine man known as a Chaman. His prayer, chants, and use of medicinal plants create a profound spiritual experience. The Temazcal is based on four elements, Fire from the lava rocks, healing Water poured over the stone producing a steam that represents Air, and the hut represents Mother Earth from which we are born and purified.

Massages are not automatically included as part of the Temazcal ritual, so you may either do the massage or Temazcal only, but for the best treatment, arrange your choice of massage to follow the Temazcal experience. Your body and spirit will thank you.
